Duncan Woodcock

Duncan is a skilled and effective counsellor with many years of experience working with individuals and groups. He is a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). He has completed advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for both individuals and couples.
Duncan’s approach is humanistic and client-centred, arising from an attachment framework informed by the most up to date research into effectiveness. Drawing on Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Duncan sees a diverse range of clients including adolescents, adults and couples, and has experience working with members of the CFMEU and the LGBTIQ community.
Duncan is originally from London and has been living in Australia for 33 years. Drawing on his background in theatre, education and counselling, he has a lifelong interest in working experientially with people. Working collaboratively with clients, Duncan invites growth and transformation in a supportive and reflective environment. He has a non-judgmental, empathic style, offering genuine care and compassion. He has been described as a natural counsellor who brings a depth of understanding, wisdom and intuition to his work.
